Senior Design Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary :
Experience in electromechanical product development including solenoids, valves, and actuators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for electromagnetic simulation, magnetic circuit design, and functional validation of electrical sub-systems integrated into our advanced product range. This role is crucial in achieving OEM-level reliability, performance, and certification standards.

Job Requirements :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and electromagnetic systems for solenoids, valves, and electromechanical actuators.
  • Perform electromagnetic simulations using tools like FEMM, Ansys Maxwell, or COMSOL Multiphysics.
  • Define electrical circuit schematics, including driver circuits, sensing systems, and interface logic.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams to optimize electro-mechanical performance and design integration.
  • Conduct thermal analysis, magnetic flux optimization, inductance balancing, and current density evaluation.
  • Specify coil winding parameters (turns, gauge, and insulation) and validate through simulation and prototype testing.
  • Support design validation through lab testing, endurance testing, and field trials.
  • Work with vendors for the development of custom coils, PCBs, and driver modules.
  • Lead efforts in achieving electrical product certifications: CE, UL, RoHS, EMC compliance, etc.
  • Provide inputs for design for manufacturing (DFM), tooling feasibility, and coil over molding techniques.
  • Evaluate and approve electrical BOM, source alternatives, and coordinate with sourcing/procurement teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to innovation programs for new product platforms.

Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools such as FEMM, Ansys Maxwell.
  • Hands-on experience in coil design, magnetic analysis, and optimization techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical solenoid design , magnetic circuit design, signal conditioning, PCB layout, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical interfaces, contact resistance, and insulation degradation mechanisms.
  • Understanding of solenoid activation principles – DC, AC, PWM actuation, latching behavior.
  • Experience in OEM-level product design and lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to safety, functional reliability, and IP-grade protection for coil-based systems.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings, interpreting GD&T, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in lab testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical documentation and review reports.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Working knowledge of embedded control systems or collaboration with firmware teams.
  • Exposure to wire harness design, connector selection, overvoltage/ESD protection.
  • Experience in automotive, industrial automation or fluid control applications.
  • Experience in using FEMM, Ansys - Maxwell, Multisim, Proteus, MATLAB, LTspice, or equivalent tools for circuit-level validation.
  • Familiarity with quality tools like DFMEA, Fishbone Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.

Senior Design Engineer - Electronics

Job Summary :
Highly skilled and innovative Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in sensor technology, embedded electronics, and analog / digital circuit design for electromechanical products including solenoids and valves. The ideal candidate will lead the development of OEM-grade sensor solutions such as reed switches, pressure, temperature, humidity sensors, and control electronics including PWM drivers and proportional control systems.

Job Requirements :

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of embedded electronic circuits and PCBs for sensor-integrated electromechanical products.
  • Develop custom sensor-based solutions including PWM circuits, Remote control Circuits, PID control circuits, Motor controller for Servo motors, PMDC motors, reed switch sensors, pressure sensors, temperature sensors, thermocouples, and humidity sensors.
  • Design and validate PWM-based coil driver circuits, proportional solenoid control systems, Motor Driver Circuits, Embedded Circuits and signal conditioning circuits & sensors.
  • Create and manage multi-layer PCB designs using industry-standard tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCad, etc.).
  • Perform analog and digital circuit simulations using tools like LTspice, Multisim, or PSpice.
  • Define circuit specifications, sensor calibration logic, and EMI/EMC compliance strategy.
  • Program embedded circuits for firmware integration and hardware-software co-design.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and product certification teams for robust end-to-end integration.
  • Develop and manage documentation for design files, BOMs, Gerbers, schematics, test procedures, and validation reports.
  • Support PCB prototyping, assembly, testing, and debugging.
  • Interface with PCB manufacturers and EMS vendors for productionization and quality assurance.
  • Participate in product certification processes – CE, RoHS, REACH, EMC, IP65/67 ratings for electronics.
  • Conduct DFMEA, root cause analysis, and product performance validation under real-world conditions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to R&D knowledge sharing and patentable innovations.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in sensor circuit design, low power electronics, and signal conditioning techniques.
  • Deep knowledge of reed switch-based sensing, Hall sensors, thermocouple interfacing, RTD circuits, pressure transducers, and humidity measurement principles.
  • Hands-on experience with PWM control circuitsproportional valve driver circuits, and coil actuation logic.
  • Strong expertise in PCB CAD tools – Altium Designer, Eagle, KiCad, or OrCAD.
  • Familiar with DFM/DFT principles, PCB stack-up, thermal layout considerations and component derating.
  • Practical exposure to EMI/EMC standards, surge protection, and PCB shielding strategies.
  • OEM-level design capabilities for reliability, durability, and compactness.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical design, reverse polarity protection, and ESD suppression.
  • Strong debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyser, multimeter, LCR meter, and simulation tools.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams for end-to-end product development.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Hands on experience in CAN, UART, I2C, SPI protocols for sensor communication.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller selection and integration (e.g., STM32, MSP430, PIC).
  • Knowledge of IoT-ready sensor platforms and BLE/wireless communication modules.
  • Involvement in designing for rugged industrial environments with high temperature and vibration tolerance.
  • Exposure to modular design, interface standardization, and scalable sensor platforms.
  • Ability to lead proof of concept (PoC) and new technology evaluation projects.

Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical

Job Summary :
Hands-on experience in electromechanical product design such as solenoids, valves, and actuators, to join our dynamic team. This role demands a high level of innovation, deep design knowledge, and comprehensive understanding of product manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end design development, from concept to production, ensuring high-quality OEM-grade deliverables.

Job Requirements :

Key Responsibilities:

·      Lead the mechanical design of solenoids, valves, actuators, and electromechanical components from concept to final product.

·      Create 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and BOMs using Solid Works adhering to ASME/ISO standards.

·      Apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) principles to ensure precision and fitment in assemblies.

·      Conduct DFMEA, design validation, and tolerance stack-up analysis for robust product realization.

·      Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and production teams for seamless integration of mechanical designs.

·      Support prototype development, fixture design, and assembly tool conceptualization.

·      Perform DFM/DFA analysis to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and assembly.

·      Interact with suppliers and the internal procurement team to ensure component manufacturability.

·      Coordinate with external agencies for product testing and certification (CE, UL, IP ratings, RoHS, etc.).

·      Lead design reviews, documentation, and engineering change control processes.

·      Stay updated on latest materials, manufacturing processes, and compliance standards relevant to electromechanical products.

 Competencies:

·      Expertise in Solid Works including surfacing, sheet metal, and advanced assembly modelling.

·      Strong knowledge of GD&T as per ASME Y14.5.

·      OEM-level design expertise and experience in mass production-oriented design.

·      Working knowledge of plastic injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, brazing, over molding, and press tools.

·      Innovative with a strong grasp of design thinking and product innovation methodologies.

·      Hands-on experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and change management.

·      Understanding of certification standards: CE, UL, IP, RoHS, etc.

·      Familiarity with CAE tools for thermal, structural, or fluid flow analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Solid Works Simulation).

·      Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

 Preferred Attributes:

·      Experience in fixture design for testing and assembly of precision components.

·      Exposure to solenoid coil design integration, sealing, and encapsulation techniques.

·      Hands-on involvement in life cycle testing, accelerated aging, vibration, and thermal validation.

·      Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple product development timelines.
